Those 5 months in Motaverse - A Journey through Motaverse !!
 image
I have always been hearing about the power of communities and have been part of few before but MoT is different in many aspects. I first came to know about MoT in September 2024 when I booked my seat for TestBash(now Motacon) as an attendee. The crowd, the vibes and the enthusiasm was to the extent which kept me engaging. I was curious to explore more about MoT but several other things kept engaging me post TestBash- Diwali(festival of lights), Christmas, Winter break, New year parties along with the job responsibilities.

Finally, after I was done with all these, I resumed back to take action on my curiosity to dive deep and explore MoT.

Exactly a year ago, all started in the month of March. Here are those 5 months, when I started to explore, contribute and continue to be part of MoT.

March 2025 : Willingness to Join MoT
I used to see linkedIn post and a few emails about what MoT brings to us. This developed a strong willingness to join the community slack channel with the thought to explore and know more about the community.

April 2025: Explored more about MoT
Then came to know about The Club. That was something where we can help each other by sharing knowledge, fun activities and a lot of learning. I started to contribute there as well.

May 2025: Became Professional Member
While I was enjoying being part of Slack and contributing to Club, I came across something called Memories(now Moments) and Glossary. I had a lot to share based on my knowledge and experience and again strong willingness to contribute there as well. These required professional membership and I had no second thought on this except to go for membership. By this time I explored MoT and built a trust and became a professional member.

June 2025: On Stage offline and Online
A lot of exciting events happened this month. Met Rosie for the first time in Bristol. I used to attend TWiT (now TWiQ) and found it worth sharing thoughts on stage. I jumped on stage for the first time this month and shared my thoughts as well. Also, attended the MoT 4.0 London meet-up(now MoT Chapter) and took mic for 99 secs talk for the first time.

July 2025: Building MoT Profile
By this month, I came so far and looked at my profile - I realised that unknowingly I was building my MoT profile. For the past few months I was just enjoying doing activities, contributions and participation in various ways.
Wow Feeling - earned so many stars, followers, recognition, connections and many more!!

This is just a snapshot of my MoT journey during these 5 months. There are a lot more to share if each day of every month is zoomed in - how I got inspired, what were the excitements, how I was encouraged and motivated - in short Power of MoT community.
