What a night in Veenendaal.
We filled the room with that unmistakable MoT‑NL buzz, the kind where conversations start before the event officially does, and somehow never really stop. The energy was high, the curiosity even higher, and yes… the cheese was absolutely world‑class.
Sanne Visser kicked things off with a story that none of us will forget anytime soon: hamsters running for their lives, sprinting in circles, going nowhere fast. A painfully accurate metaphor for what happens when teams move without direction. It was funny, sharp, and with and endearing amount of personal vulnerability.
Then Veerle Verhagen took us on a black‑and‑white journey through modern times, showing how AI is reshaping our craft, our value, and even the way we think about time itself. A talk that made everyone stare at their own work just a little differently.
“The Mother of All Chapter Meetings: The Hidden Agenda of Testing” absolutely lived up to its name. If you missed it because of something trivial like sports, laundry, or “refuelling,” you missed two brilliant talks, great conversations, and everything Golden House could possibly offer your tummy.
There was laughter, honesty, sharp insight, and that signature MoT‑NL openness; the kind that turns a chapter meeting into a community moment. Testing isn’t just about finding bugs. It’s about finding meaning, finding each other, and occasionally discovering that hamsters are the real victims of bad prompting.
