Tester's Start Your Engines - TestBash Is Coming to the Midwest

That’s right folks, TestBash is coming to Detroit for the first time on 23-24th April 2020. The Ministry of Testing team is excited to be partnering with Hilary Weaver-Robb to bring you the next edition of TestBash.

TestBash is my favorite conference and I’m so excited to help bring it to Detroit! Finally after years of begging Richard to bring it here, he caved :P I can’t wait for the awesome testers in the Midwest to experience what TestBash is all about, and enjoy what the Motor City has to offer.

As a CommunityBoss, it’s been fantastic to watch TestBash grow over the past number of years. Hilary has joined Ministry of Testing as a speaker, workshop host and a volunteer at so many of our events now that bringing her into the fold as TestBash Detroit organiser feels like such a natural, positive step to take. I can’t wait to see where 2020 takes us!

Community is always at the heart of what we do and it’s clear to us that the community in Detroit is strong. Over the past five years, the Motor City Software Testers meetup has grown from strength to strength demonstrating what an amazing testing community there is in Detroit. As the community is always at the heart of MoT we can't wait to see you all out in force at TestBash Detroit.

So, What’s The Plan?

TestBash Detroit will be a 2-day event.  The first day will be workshop focused and the 2nd day will be in the format of our much loved single-track conference.

Right now we are looking for submissions. We will be accepting talks and workshop proposals until 30th September 2019. Submit now!

Why Speak at TestBash?

We say no to paying to speak! We cover expenses as a minimum and workshop hosts get a fee, which you can read more about on our speaker expenses page. We have a new travel booking system which means you won’t be out of pocket for your travel to TestBash and the speaker's hotel is already booked, we’re that excited!

Still not sure? We’ve captured some awesome reasons you should speak at our events on our speaker need to know page. If you have any questions, just ask :)

Want to Attend?

There are a tonne of great reasons to attend TestBash not limited to the ones we’ve captured on our TestBash attend page.

We take our Code of Conduct seriously. It’s important to us that TestBash is a safe space to learn from and with each other.

If you want to be the first to hear when the lineup launches, sign up to our launch list.
