The background is a dark purple night sky dotted with white stars and sparkles.

Two things

  1. TestBash is now MoTaCon. It's time to remove the silos.
  2. MoTaCon and all in-person events are now included in an active Professional Membership.

The last TestBash happened a couple of weeks ago. We wasted no time to name that same conference as MoTaCon. Check out the vibes that were had. 🤩

Why the change? Over the past couple of years it has become increasingly difficult to talk about and advocate for the work we do under the banner of ‘testing’. Testing has always supported quality, yet quality is about supporting the whole system. All our work in the MoTaverse is shifting towards that quality mindset.

This change is a cultural change. We aim to innovate, remove silos and build bridges across the tech industry. And of course, it will be led by the energy of the MoTaverse people. 🚀

Two people, Rosie Sherry and Anne-Marie Charett, are featured in a split-screen video call or presentation titled "WHAT CHALLENGES ARE INVOLVED IN THE TRANSITION INTO A HEAD OF ENGINEERING ROLE?". Both are smiling and raising one hand toward the camera in a wave. The background is a vibrant gradient of purple and pink. A logo for "Leading with Quality" is in the top left corner, and "MINISTRYOFTESTING.COM" is centred at the bottom.
A still from a video interview featuring two people, Rosie Sherry and Stu Day, on a split screen. The background is a vibrant purple gradient. The title of the video is, "HOW DO WE IMPROVE THE BRAND AND IDENTITY OF QUALITY?" On the left, Rosie Sherry is wearing a black shirt and glasses, smiling as she looks to the right. She has headphones over her head. Her background is a light-colored room with a door and a shelf visible. On the right, Stu Day is also wearing a black shirt, a baseball cap, and headphones, looking forward with a surprised or excited expression. His background is a room with light green walls and shelves filled with various items, including framed pictures, Funko Pop figures, a microphone, and a Captain America shield. An illustration set in space features a grumpy, grey, two-legged bug with antennae, sharp teeth, and bulging eyes, standing on a purple, rocky surface. It is holding three signs: a yellow one that reads "Oops, you missed a field," a red one that reads "Password too short," and an orange one that reads "Email format invalid." Each sign has a white triangle with an exclamation mark. In the background are a purple and blue ringed planet and a large, bright white moon against a dark, starry sky. The image suggests the frustration of encountering multiple validation errors during an online form submission.

Two articles to explore.

A purple and dark blue graphic with the text "THIS WEEK IN QUALITY" centered at the top. Two cartoon characters that resemble gray, smiling bugs with large eyes and antennae wearing yellow headphones are sitting behind two microphones on an oval stage with the text "ON AIR" on a red banner at the bottom. The background is a dark starry sky with planets and silhouettes of other purple bugs in the distance.

A graphic announcing a conference name change from TestBash Brighton to MoTaCon. The original TestBash logo—an orange and yellow planet-like ring design—is centered at the top and aggressively crossed out with thick, scribbled red lines. Below it, the new name MoTaCon is written in large, bold red letters. The background is a deep purple with scattered stars, and in the lower-left corner, a small green flying saucer with a wide-eyed bug is visible.
