Hi, I'm Gem. I'm a ex-tester (though always a tester in my heart), and founder of SelfCare Backpack. I help people, especially those in tech, with their self care and mental health. I'm a trainee therapist, and offer talks and workshops all around building up a little toolbox (or backpack) or self care for when you need it.
Senior Automation Tester
Louise is a Senior Automation Tester at PebblePad. Her main job is to review and maintain the automated tests that are run overnight, and investigate the causes of any failures. She has also worked for companies in the e-commerce, scientific research and automotive industries, and runs a personal blog at louisegibbstest.wordpress.com, where she talks about her experiences as a software tester. She enjoys improving her testing skills and her main method for achieving this is by speaking to other Testers and discussing ideas.
Matthew Record is a Software Test Engineer at Johnson Health Tech, a worldwide leader in fitness solutions. Record was the first software tester hired at Johnson and has had the unique experience of being a pivotal piece in the formation and growth of the testing group in his company today. With over five years of experience advocating for testers and implementing change, he is excited for the opportunity to share the lessons he has learned throughout his testing career with the TestBash community.
Alex Langshall is a TestOps Engineer and Release Manager for Lucid Software. Her day to day work involves testing architecture-heavy features and minimizing the risk of weekly regular deploys. Alex works remotely from the Portland, Oregon area where he lives with her spouse, kiddo, and cat.
Sr. Solutions Architect
Wim Selles is a Solutions Architect for Sauce Labs based in the Netherlands. During the day, he assists customers with solving automation challenges in their organisation. By night, he practices his passion for front-end test automation with Javascript. He likes to create his own Node.JS modules to help and support automation engineers and is also a contributor to multiple open source projects that involve testing, such as WebdriverIO, Protractor, ng-Apimock and many more. Wim also has extensive experience using Appium for automating Hybrid and (React) Native Apps. He enjoys sharing his automation experience as a speaker at conferences like AppiumConf in London and SeleniunConf India, on his blog and during meetups and webinars.

Hi, I'm Deborah Reid, I've been testing for about 12 years now. I am a Lead Test Engineer at Bloom and Wild group currently. Specialising in exploratory and risk based testing with a passion for accessibility. I've written a course for MoT on an Introduction to Accessibility Testing (my maiden name is Lee, so it might look like someone else wrote this course but I promise it was me!)

Jan works as the Test Engineering Lead/Manager at eBay DE in Berlin, Germany. He has been in the software industry for almost 15 years working in different roles in the software development process. Jan started as a developer and quickly learned to appreciate skilled testers. In the last years, he worked as a test engineer looking into exploratory testing and how automation can support testing. He is working in an agile team performing testing tasks while also writing production code and educating the team and himself about testing.
