And we’ve made it to 2026! Bug congrats! 🎉
I'm Rosie Sherry, your MoT Weekly host.
I’ve been reflecting over the holidays on how I envision 2026, quiet times are good for that.
Community has always been my thing. The MoTaverse is built with community in mind, however my thinking of community is forever evolving. Since 2020 I’ve written over 800 posts on community, what a journey that has been! It’s definitely key to helping me personally think about how to move forward with community at the heart.
More specifically, I’ve been thinking about how community really isn’t magical and how thinking like that actually does more damage than good. There's nothing magical about community, it's actually quite logical, and mostly involves showing up, doing the work, and acting with care.

Community-as-a-Service (CaaS) is on our minds too, I had a great conversation with Simon Tomes on it, we hope to publish it soon. We’re working on defining clarity about what it means, but in a nutshell, and in the context of the MoTaverse, I see CaaS as something that encompasses supporting individuals and companies throughout their careers and goals.
At the moment, you get a bit of training here, a speaking opportunity over there, an article somewhere else, a knowledge bomb via another source, the opportunity to contribute in varying places, and a new friend via a meetup. We see this is all community, hard to navigate and create impact. It can also be a huge, inefficient time sink.
CaaS brings it all together to show your and the collective impact. At a recent internal talk, we created a visual to show how much more CaaS offers than the things on their own.
I hope you’ve noticed we’ve been changing. In the past 18 months, we’ve been bundling up our offerings to make everything even more accessible at a massively competitive price.
The bundling has led us towards Community-as-a-Service. It allows us to increasingly help you in all aspects of your quality career. It’s also different, special and designed to help you learn with every click.
With being different, our challenge for 2026 is to show people the how and why. For now I’d encourage you to explore and pay attention to the Stars you earn along the way. You can earn Stars for many things. Stars not only show that you are growing, but with our two-way star system, you can also help others grow along the way. The best way to understand this is to experience it.
Set the MoTaverse as your browser launch page. It is updated multiple times a day. Give thanks to people on individual bits of content, mark lessons as complete, visit Observatory links, or award stars yourself. Watch your credibility grow, and you’ll notice you can’t help but learn things along the way. Your progress will be tracked along the way, with community stars, badges, followers, contributions, and more!
