Theresa Neate is a Quality Engineering leader, and developer advocate, who loves lean and agility and advocates for holistic system quality and systems thinking. She firmly believes and espouses that quality is not equal to testing; and that quality applies to the entire system lifecycle, from inception to her personal favourites, devops, operations and infrastructure. Her background spans more than 2 decades of technology and leadership experience. The last decade was spent between ThoughtWorks, Australia Post’s Digital Delivery Centre, almost 5 years at digital icon REA Group, and since 2020 as national Director Of Quality Engineering for technology consultancy, Slalom Build Australia. She is co-founder, co-organiser and trainer at DevOps Girls. She also writes and speaks on topics of quality, systems thinking, lean, agile and devops. She recently completed a Diploma of Networking, while still working full time. She’s a lifelong and eternally curious sceptic and learner.
Software Quality Evangelist
Anand is a Software Quality Evangelist with 20+ years in the software testing field. He is passionate about shipping a quality product, and specialises in Product Quality strategy & execution, and also building automated testing tools, infrastructure and frameworks. Anand writes testing related blogs and has built open-source tools related to Software Testing – WAAT (Web Analytics Automation Testing Framework), TaaS (for automating the integration testing in disparate systems) and TTA (Test Trend Analyzer). Katrina Clokie has over a decade of experience in the IT industry. She currently serves a team of around 100 testers as a Test Practice Manager in Wellington, New Zealand.

Katrina is an active contributor to the international testing community as the founder and editor of Testing Trapeze magazine, a co-founder of the WeTest New Zealand testing community, a mentor with Speak Easy, an international conference speaker, frequent blogger and tweeter.

Katrina is also the author of the fantastic book 'A Practical Guide to Testing in DevOps'.

Trish Khoo is a software development consultant and international keynote speaker. She has over 15 years of experience in the software industry, specialising in software testing, infrastructure and automation. Her journey has taken her from Microsoft to Google, from London to San Francisco, and many places in between. Now she helps companies all over the world with their software needs from her home base of Brisbane, Australia. She also dedicates time towards fostering a strong local tech startup community and mentoring other technologists. Kim has a diverse background professionally and has been working as a test resource within a number of different development teams in Brisbane, Australia. She is currently working within the finance sector in a multidisciplinary role that supports her E2E involvement from stakeholder requirements through to user testing. She enjoys the science behind cooking, riding her RE 650 Conti and talking to curious minded tech peeps.
Quality Engineering Lead
Francis Ho is the Quality Engineering Lead at Auror, a startup that helps prevent retail crime, reduce loss and making stores safer. They work with some of the largest retailer in the regions, e.g. Walmart, Coles, Woolworths. Francis has previously worked in companies of varying size and many sectors, from Healthcare to Fintech to Big data and now Retail Crime. He is passionate about creating a work environment that allows people to do their best work, and he loves building software that brings a positive impact to the society. He joined his current company in hopes of finding a different way of working than what he has previously done. Francis lives in New Zealand, home of the Hobbits. In his spare time, he is busy exploring with his two years old son and listening to baby shark on repeat.
Software Engineer

Dr. Michaela Greiler is a leading expert on code reviews and testing. Over the last 10 years, she extensively researched and developed test, build, and code review techniques and tools that boost the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering teams. She, for example, worked with all major product teams at Microsoft, such as Office, Windows, and Visual Studio to overcome friction in their engineering practice. Since 2018, she also helps companies outside of Microsoft boost their code review, testing and build practices. She has a Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology in Software Engineering, 15 years of experience analyzing and improving software engineering processes and tools, and runs the Software Engineering Unlocked podcast. Her research is published in several high-ranked scientific journals and she won the Google Techmaker Award in 2012.

Angie Jones is a Java Champion and Principal Developer Advocate who specializes in test automation strategies and techniques. She shares her wealth of knowledge by speaking and teaching at software conferences all over the world, writing tutorials and technical articles on angiejones.tech, and leading the online learning platform, Test Automation University.

As a Master Inventor, Angie is known for her innovative and out-of-the-box thinking style which has resulted in more than 25 patented inventions in the US and China. In her spare time, Angie volunteers with Black Girls Code to teach coding workshops to young girls in an effort to attract more women and minorities to tech.

Bill Matthews has been a freelance test consultant for over 20 years working mainly on complex integration and migration as a Test Architect and as a Technical Lead. He champions the use of modern and effective approaches to development and testing.

He is a regular contributor to the testing community at both local and international levels through conference speaking, coaching/mentoring and delivering workshops and training focusing on automation, performance, reliability, security testing and more recently artificial intelligence.
