February’s here, and the Ministry of Testing Meetups are buzzing. January started strong—London’s first meetup sold out, Athens packed the house, and testing brains bonded over AI, strategy, and quality.

Missed Sheffield on the 6th of Feb? No sweat. Athens is hosting Women in Test on Feb 25, and Newcastle dives into RiskStorming with Beren Van Daele on March 10.

Plenty more where that came from—don’t miss out!

šŸŒŖļø Riskstorming: a guide and deck of cards to help explore risk analysis and quality strategy.

Available in print and digital packs

Sheffield Meetup šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

Date: Thursday, 6 February 2025

Testing, pizza, and a room full of sharp minds—Sheffield is setting the bar for 2025. Will your go-to bug-hunting technique hold up under scrutiny, or will you leave with a better one? Maybe the real defect is assuming networking isn’t part of quality engineering.

Organiser : Melissa Rocks

Ā

Berlin Meetup šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ

Date: Thursday, 13 February 2025

Bug hunts, edge-case charades, and production fire drills—Berlin is turning testing into a game. Can you outwit a critical defect before it ships, or will you be the one holding the sev-1 hot potato? Maybe the real test is explaining a race condition without watching everyone's eyes glaze over.

Organisers : Jan Eumann, Nico Neuschitzer

Ā

Coventry Meetup šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

Date: Thursday, 13 February 2025

Quality is everyone’s responsibility—great soundbite, but what does it actually mean? Can a team truly own something they can’t define, or are we all just nodding along to a feel-good slogan? Maybe real quality starts when we stop assuming we all agree on what it is. Attend, challenge the idea, and make it make sense.

Organisers: Russell Thomas, James Wadley, Andrew Morton

"MoT is becoming a paradise for testers to experiment, extend, and innovate. In a world of limited opportunities for testers, MoT is creating the difference we all needed!"

Manila Meetup šŸ‡µšŸ‡

Date: Tuesday, 18 February 2025

AI, automation, and quality engineering—buzzwords or the future of testing? Can we trust AI to catch what humans miss, or are we just training it to repeat our blind spots at scale? Maybe the real challenge isn’t AI, but how we integrate it without losing the craft. Show up in Manila and put the hype to the test.

Organiser: Anthony Seumal

Ā

Athens Meetup šŸ‡¬šŸ‡·

Date: Tuesday, 25 February 2025

Some memorise test cases. Others rewrite the script. Can we really talk about the future of testing without the voices shaping it? Women hold just 26% of tech roles, yet they’re the force behind some of the biggest shifts in automation, leadership, and quality. The real failure isn’t in our code—it’s in who gets heard. Grace Hopper didn’t wait for permission to change the game, and neither should we. This isn’t just another meetup—it’s a room where stories, ideas, and futures collide. Be there when history gets written.

Organisers: Petros Plakogiannis, Nikolaos Chaldaios, Anthi Kakagi

Ā

Cork Meetup šŸ‡®šŸ‡Ŗ

Date: Wednesday 26th February 2025

AI isn’t just changing how we test software—it’s becoming a coding companion, ready to assist, refine, and accelerate automation workflows. But if AI can write and debug our tests, where does that leave human testers? Are we evolving into something new? In this special hybrid Meetup at Poppulo, Christine Pinto will share her journey pairing with AI for test automation using Playwright. Through live demos and real-world insights, she’ll explore the balance between human expertise and AI efficiency. Join us on February 26—in person or online via Crowdcast—to rethink the future of testing!

Organisers: Conor FitzgeraldšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡¦ , Robert Meaney , Lana, Mike Sexton

Ā

Munich Meetup šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ

Date: Wednesday, 5 March 2025

Accessibility, mutation testing, and the gaps we don’t see—until they break everything. Can your test suite really catch what matters, or is it just padding coverage stats? The real test isn’t just running checks; it’s knowing which ones actually mean something. Be in Munich, hear from those solving real problems, and walk away with sharper skills (and probably some pizza).

Organisers: Joona Nikolai Bradtke, Bastian Knerr, Katja Meyer

Ā

Newcastle Meetup šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

Date: Monday, 10 March 2025

Risk is everywhere—most teams just don’t see it until it’s too late. How do you plan for the things you don’t know are coming, and does your strategy actually hold up under pressure? Maybe the real risk isn’t in the backlog—it’s in assuming your team actually knows what could go wrong. Gather in Newcastle, break things in a safe space, and leave with a sharper strategy (and hopefully, fewer production fires).

Organisers: Russell Craxford, Hannah Pretswell, Connor Irvine, Paul Alexander
