Now the next transition is the migration away from Meetup, it’s been on our list to move away for years, and it is now happening!

Meetups are now called Chapters. The name change is mostly because Meetup has a trademark on the name. Migration will take time, there are over 50 groups to work through. I’m hopeful we can do it within 3 months. One by one we will be working with Chapter Leaders to make the move. If you are a member of a current meetup, do keep an eye out for messages, or visit our Chapters page to see if your local meetup has migrated yet.

Get a feel for what’s coming. MoT London now has a Chapter page. You can see photos, talks and links associated to the Chapter. Also check out our MoT Brighton Chapter and RSVP to a Quality Hangout in February or the Pre-MoTaCon Social. What’s exciting about all of this, in addition to having memories and knowledge carefully organised, is that you will earn stars and badges for your Chapter participation, and all of this adds to your credibility as a quality professional via your MoT Profile.
