The leadership has changed yet the community remains. Read this update message from Richard Bradshaw. Rosie Sherry (founder of Ministry of Testing) returns as BossBoss (CEO) and is excited to take on the challenge of continuing the care the community deserves and needs. Welcome back, Rosie! 😃

NEW ARTICLE: How do you make security testing more user-friendly? Ioan Solderea shares plenty of tips, including advice on how to get started with a popular security testing tool. Read "Making Security Testing More User Friendly".

If you missed the announcement you'll be pleased to know all TestBash UK 2023 talk recordings are now available. Áine McGovern had this to share:

"Get yourself over to the Playlist now to see the phenomenal lineup of talks available. Whether you plan to rewatch an inspiring talk or discover a talk that you missed the first time around. You can also now see all the activities. Do them again with your team or pick a new activity that you missed. Enjoy planning out your goals from your talks and activities, and maybe even join us for ReTestBash on the 2nd of November, to reflect on TestBash UK with the rest of the community."

You gotta check out this post from Kim Ross. Super impressive to see someone so new to testing/QA sharing advice on what they've learned so far. The five pieces of advice apply to all of us, no matter where we are in our careers. Nice one, Kim! 🎉

I'd like to invite you to this week's This Week in Testing. A good number of us gather (most) Friday afternoons for a voice-only chat via LinkedIn. I debrief my week of observations, you can listen like it's a radio show and join us on stage. I'd love to see it grow. There's something about a weekly community get-together that makes it accessible. We've covered many topics and it's a great way to learn and connect with fellow testers. 🎙️🎧

🙋🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ Join the conversation

  1. What interview questions would you ask for a QA Director position? asks Vidyalakshmi
  2. Which type of tester are you?
  3. What do you think of Tom's mobile app testing tool?
  4. Rosie would like to know, what has changed in the software testing industry in the past 5 years?
  5. Ady has thoughts about system users. What do you think?
  6. Chris is curious to hear, how do you approach your test design?

Have a great week.

— Simon, CommunityBoss
